Abstract
In a Schottky emitter, the useful emission comes from the W (100) facet at the very end of the tip. The emission from all other parts of the tip called shank emission is suppressed by a suppressor electrode. This paper discusses the simulation results by SIMION for the Suppressor-less Schottky emitter model.
