Abstract :
In this paper, a dielectric rib-like-based slot waveguide is introduced for nonlinear silicon photonics. In the slot region of this waveguide Si-nc:SiO2 with a high third-order nonlinear effect is used. The Lanczos-Fourier expansion-based transmission line (TL) formulation is our mathematical tool for linear and nonlinear modal analysis of the optical waveguides. Numerical results show the good potential of the proposed slot waveguide in the nonlinear applications of silicon photonics.
