Abstract
In this paper, the authors deal with a new type of modelling method for the analysis of galloping in power transmission lines (PTL). The single mass model is obtained under the linearization method and is applied into an f-order model. In these models, the natural frequencies of PTL are obtained which have an effect on the galloping directly. In simulation, they verify that the maximum magnitude of natural frequency depends on the galloping distance of PTL. Also, from the analysis of frequency response, a reduction method for galloping is introduced which is affected by the distance of PTL, wind velocity and icing types
