Abstract :
Homomorphic techniques have been proposed for the identification of power system transient signals in the literature. Homomorphic techniques are proposed for the analysis of the propagation of transients in power systems and signal processing. It is well known that fault induced high-frequency components contain unique information about the fault distance. It may be generated for signals that demonstrate redundancy in their pole-zero distributions, such as phase signals and real signals. It is well known that fault induced high frequency components containing unique information about the fault distance and indicators. The indicators can then be analyzed by standard statistical hypothesis testing or by software techniques to perform analysis, and diagnosis, and to create intelligent decision rules. The approach described in this paper does not depend on the availability of an accurate mathematical model. Hence it is expected to be robust and of wide applicability. Results of the analysis of computer simulated faulty transmission line using homomorphic signal processing are included
