Abstract
The brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser (BEFL) is a novel kind of multiwavelength fiber laser, which can produce a laser comb with spacing of 0.088nm(11GHz). In this paper, the brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser with ring cavity is studied. The different coupling ratios of coupler are selected to investigate the laser output characteristic. A stable 7-wavelengths fiber laser is obtained by optimizing the coupling ratios of couplers. With the advantage of stabilization of adjacent wavelength peak, narrow linewidth and smooth of adjacent wavelength peak, simple structure, this multi-wavelength laser can be applied in the dense wavelength division multiplexing systems.
