Abstract :
In this work, the feasibility of a discrete-gate structure FED is studied. It composes of phosphor screen, gate plate and the cathode panel. In order to achieve high resolution, we put forward a method to fabricate a high resolution gate-plate. A stainless plate is used as the gate plate. The conducting gate plate is also can be used as the focus gate.
