Abstract
A method is described for recording stimulating electrode position during functional brain mapping prior to lesion resection. By combining the function of the Vanderbilt IIGS system with cortical stimulation and the display of a surface-rendered image extracted from tomographic data, the location of multiple, specific functions may be identified prior to subcortical surgery and retained to enhance surgical guidance
