Abstract :
Linear (or quasi-linear, such as spiral shaped) CNT arrays exhibit improved electron emission performance as compared to two-dimensional arrays. Modeling results show that the field uniformity within the CNT array is an important factor for achieving improved electron emission properties. Optimized linear CNTs films may be used to realize high performance nanotriodes or electron sources.
