Abstract
This paper describes a new miniaturized visual implant. Special attention has been paid to the external part of the device. This part acquires the scene, processes the digital information to adequately reduce the image and communicates necessary command words to the occipital cortical implant via a radio-frequency (RF) coupled technique. The completed prototype allows to test various stimulation algorithms and strategies
