Abstract :
Switch Reluctance Machine has remarkable characteristics which make it suited for industrial application. Their robustness and simple structure are main attractive features of this kind of machines. With increasing the electrical energy demands, SR machine due to their inevitable and desirable characteristics is utilized as generator. In this paper, a 12/8 field-assisted Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) is modeled to figure out its characteristics, then simulation analysis is carried out using 3 dimensional Finite Element Method (FEM). Meanwhile, the output voltage of this SRG is extracted employing simulation data and curve fitting techniques. Finally, experimental analysis is performed to validate the state of art in this paper.
