Abstract
In this article we discuss nonlinear distributed parameter control problems and the application of the reduced basis element method for the construction of lower-order compensator design. The several methods for generation of reduced basis elements are introduced and then we outline how to use such elements in terms of the design of finite dimensional compensator dynamics. We demonstrate our approach on a control problem formulated in a driven cavity. Numerical results are reported for the open loop control
