Abstract
In this paper, we provide a numerical example for the reduced order controller design framework as presented in our earlier paper. The compensator based approach yields low order systems with guaranteed stability margins. This result is achieved through the use of a logarithmic barrier function. This reduced basis method uses uneven grids to approximate the compensator equations and the low order controller. As in our previous work, the method is tested numerically on a one dimensional, nonlinear, damped, hyperbolic structural control problem
