  • Abstract
In this paper a new maximum power point tracker (MPPT) for a moving solar module is proposed. In these cases, multiple peaks are introduced in the PV array curves (due to the shadow effect) and it is difficult to find and track the new MPP, in order to extract maximum PV power. Hence, a simple analytical MPPT approach is introduced which is easy to implement and could overcome the mentioned problem. The proposed method is also fast enough to accurately track the MPP in different environmental circumstances. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed using modeling in MATLAB environment.
