Abstract
Summary form only given. We report measurements of fluctuations in the edge region of a small tokamak (Ip ~ 5kA, BT ~ 1T, R = 22cm, and a = 3.5cm) recently reassembled and in operation at Utah State University. The tokamak originally operated at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Canada. The fluctuations and the characteristics of the turbulence measured with electrostatic and magnetic probes will be presented. The presence of the Geodesic Acoustic Mode (GAM), which is a high frequency zonal flow, has been investigated in our tokamak plasma. This mode has no instabilities. The spatial structure of GAM in a poloidal plane will also be presented.
