Abstract
This paper studies the structural controllability of the parallel and the tandem connection of two structural controllable and observable linear time-invariant subsystems in the representations of the transfer function matrices. The structural rank criterions are stated in terms of the co-primeness rank criterions and two properties of linear systems over F (z) to simplify the structural controllability estimation of composite system.
