Abstract
Presents a structured singular value (SSV) approach for robust stability assessment of a one-machine-infinite-bus system (OMIB). The local load is treated as uncertain and allowed to vary within given limits. A new framework for robustness analysis of such load variations is presented. Linear fractional transformations (LFTs) are used to transform the problem to a structured singular value set up. Simulation results for a test system have shown excellent accuracy of robust stability assessment for a wide range of load conditions
