  • Abstract
    A new and straightforward approach to mixed μ-synthesis is proposed. The main idea is that the structure singular value can be equivalent to a weighted H2 system norm by shaping a frequency-dependent weigh t. The resulting controller obtained from a sequence of weighted H2 optimizations may possess a robust performance property from a μ criterion. Two successful designs are given to stress the superior ability of the H2-based loop-shaping method for mixed μ-synthesis
