Abstract
A new approach to the structural synthesis of field-oriented control algorithms for induction motor electric drives has been developed. This approach allows combining energy efficient control with the speed of response sufficient for industrial electric drives. The basic control algorithms and simulation results have been presented. The control algorithms are implemented by voltage source inverters (VSI) with PWM. It results in the increase of the current effective value due to the harmonics. Three PWM techniques (classical, with addition of the third harmonic, forming of a linear voltage of VSI) have been compared by the total harmonic distortion of the current.
