Abstract
A frequency domain, weighted least squares, sensitivity function shaping procedure is presented. Pole placement is used as the basic servo design procedure. Controller overparametrization gives the degree of freedom for shaping the sensitivity function. A benchmark design example shows the capabilities of the method. The computation is simple making the design suitable for adaptive control
