Abstract
Because of high accuracy, excellent repeatability and low pressure drop, turbine flowmeter is widely used in industry to measure gas or liquid flow. However, the disadvantage in linearity restricts its application. A new method, called piecewise linearity means, is discussed in paper. By using the new method, the flow range of the turbine flowmeter can be enlarged easily. A comparison between average meter factor and piecewise linearity means is present. This method can also be used in other sensors that output pulse signal.
