Abstract :
This paper tackles the issues and challenges that Bangladesh is currently facing with regards to implementation of e-Governance. This research also explains the life cycle and evaluates the position of the government of Bangladesh in this regard. It also, defines the revolutionary steps, which the Government of Bangladesh can take for transition from manual to IT culture for governance. This paper is based on a survey of high ranked employees of various government organizations and politicians of oppositions and ruling parties to find their ideas about E-governance. The out come of this survey is very interesting and we proposed our recommendations as per our findings and experiences of some other countries. The recommendations are presented in terms of specific steps to bring into perspective the priorities that may be considered while making strategic plans for national level e-Governance implementation.
