Abstract :
With the rapid development of the terahertz spectroscopy technique, it has been widely used in the field of safety inspection, aerospace, life science and chemistry. Most explosives and related compounds have characteristic absorption and many nonmetal and nonpolarity materials are transparent to terahertz wave, so it has shown significant potential for the safety inspection. This article firstly introduces the characteristics of terahertz and the progress of THz spectroscopy technique. Then the authors summarize the abroad research status of explosives detection using terahertz spectroscopy technique, and also sum up the research of our country. Finally this article outlooks the future development trend.
