Abstract :
This paper presents the mathematical models and computer simulation for the power system of Yantai-Dalian train ferry. Firstly the system configuration is illustrated and then the mathematical models of main components are presented. Finally three typical dynamic operating scenarios are investigated through the computer simulations with Simulink. From the simulations, it is found that the machines have acceptable dynamic responses and the variations of voltages as well as frequencies within acceptable ranges, so for these aspects the design of this shipboard power system fulfills expected requirements.
