  • Abstract
    According to present research on venturi scrubber in china and abroad, on the basis of synthesizing the relevant mechanism of venturi and cyclone scrubber, a new kind of venturi-swirler-combined scrubber was developed. This venturi-swirler-combined scrubber is composed of shuttle-typed components and swirler. These shuttle-typed components were assembled to comprise a honeycomb-typed structure gas passages similar to a contraction section, a throat section and an expansion section of venturi. The experimental study on dust removal of flue gas was carried in the scrubber. The results showed that newly-developed venturi-swirler-combined scrubber has a higher dust removal efficiency and small pressure drop.
