Abstract :
This paper investigates the incremental relaying technique with a proposed smart relay selection protocol over cooperative diversity networks based on Amplify and Forward strategy. It is aimed to use bandwidth effectively with the use of a single bit that is feedback by the destination. In fact whenever a direct link from the source to the destination is not satisfactory for decoding (with acceptable BER), the destination requests the help of a set of suitable relays. Since reliability is one of the important issues in wireless network design, using suitable relays in cooperation leads more robustness and reliability of a wireless communication network based on cooperative diversity because cooperation only with one relay is not more reliable. The performance of the proposed method is derived in terms of BER, the outage probability.
