Abstract
The insulation strengths of the materials used in modern-day systems are discussed and compared. The aim is to provide help in determining impulse insulation strengths of multiple dielectrics. The test results are analyzed, and some procedures of utilizing fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) and other insulators in series are suggested
