Abstract
There are different characteristics between normal tooth and caries for microwaves and millimeter waves. These differences may be applied for diagnosis and treatment for caries using microwaves and millimeter waves. In order to reveal the differences, complex permittivity, temperature distribution of heated tooth have been measured. Furthermore, simulations of SAR distribution have been performed using the finite difference time domain (FD-TD) method
