Abstract
A technique for early detection of subcutaneous tumor through microwave reflection measurement is proposed. An open-ended rectangular waveguide is used as a probe in direct contact with a bilayered biological tissue. Numerical results by the FDTD method and simulated biological experimental results both verify the feasibility of this technique
