Abstract :
We propose to use elements of beam optics (quads, octupoles, ...) so that they can act in one transverse direction only. For these purposes particles go across the elements, entering them and coming out far from the edges. This one-directional acting can be useful for fine-tuning of storage-rings with wigglers.
