Abstract
The Colton-Monk method for treating inverse electromagnetic and acoustic problems is outlined and extended from the case of two-dimensional starlike object to the case of non-starlike object with more general parameterization of the contour of the scatterer. Computer simulation results demonstrate that the extended method is effective and reveal the relationship between the contour reconstruction effect of this method and the used frequency
