Abstract :
The flow control technique by means of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) force, an intensively studied topic in the flow control field, can be well integrated with adaptive algorithm due to its rapid response, thus achieving online optimization. This paper utilizes the adaptive control algorithm which combines the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and the extremum seeking control (ESC) for the MHD active flow control. Through numerical simulation of the flow past a circular cylinder under MHD force, the process of the on-line optimization of MHD active flow control is realized.
