Abstract :
With seriously lacking resources, coal-fired power still dominates China´s power generation today. Not only the low coal utilization but also the low power utilization creates a lot of wastage. During the process of heat release of coal combustion, it produces various atmospheric pollutants, and there is not appropriate treatment for them. Consequently, the environment is facing a serious threat. Through expounding the impact caused by electricity industry on environment, this paper pointed out the currently environmental problems of power industry. Then, it putted forward some suggestions to these issues, for example, adjusting the electric power source by increasing proportion of new energy resources, appealing to the related authorities to legislate the policy of energy conservation and emission reduction and optimizing the transmission line. It has a reference value to the development of electricity industry.
