Abstract :
ln this paper, a simple circuit for the low cost VCOs in wireless communication systems is presented. Spiral inductors are introduced in the resonant circuit so as to miniaturize the dimension and reduce the cost of the VCOs. Analytical formula for the calculation of the resonant frequency is given. Finally, an experiment is carried out to test the performance of a VCO designed by this method
