Abstract
Using the coefficient interpolation and extrapolation technique in the measured equation of invariance (MEI) method, very large body scattering problems can be solved. For this kind of problem, the CPU time is dominated by the solution of the MEI sparse matrix. To accelerate the procedure, we have developed a special solver for the MEI sparse matrix, which is many times faster than the Berkeley general sparse matrix routine. The saving in computation time is very significant for large size matrices
