Abstract :
Silt has the same liquefaction mechanism , but the soil characteristics of the silt soil, especially the practical sizes and the physical and chemistry properties of the pore water are significantly different, thus affect silt soil have some different factors of liquefaction resistance with sand. Based on the fundamental and measure of fuzzy mathematics, the factors which influence silt´s liquefaction were analysized, thus mean diameter, plastic index, SPT blow count and effective overburden pressure were selected as factors which construct the fuzzy pattern recognication. The results indicates that this evaluation method is a useful tool in objectively evaluating and predicting liquefaction potential of silt.
