  • Abstract
Summary form only given. In this work, we present a fast waveguide window design for high-power microwave tubes, which generate TE or TM modes microwaves. Multilayer dielectric windows are considered, and the transfer matrix approach is used to discretize the dielectric function. Any shape of waveguide cross section can be solved by this approach. To verify our method, numerical simulations are also employed. The numerical simulation is performed via the finite-element code, high frequency structure simulator (HFSS). For illustration, the design is carried out for a 10 GHz X-band traveling wave tube generating TM01 mode microwaves.
