Abstract
In this paper, we address the application specific management and monitoring of highly dynamic services. The target service is the multicasting of video streams to residential users over an ATM/ADSL access network. The high dynamicity is given by the frequent channel change operation performed in parallel by thousands of users. We approach the monitoring issue using the active network based paradigm, where code is dynamically deployed and executed in the network
