Abstract
The proposed Binjiang station is a metro station for Line 1 in Hangzhou. Because of the change of planning for metro lines, the station is used as a crossing interchange metro station for Line 1 and Line 6. Due to the adjustment, Line 6 will pass below Line 1, which leads to an unusual foundation pit with am irregular shape and a varying excavation depth. Owing to the peculiarity and complexity of this project, the numerical software ABAQUS is utilized to study the behaviors of the foundation pit and some useful conclusions are obtained.
