Abstract :
Based on the section-forming characteristics, structure-assembling method and load-bearing mechanism of the trapezium corrugated plate-assemblies arch steel roof, the finite element models for local buckling and overall buckling analysis of the structure with proper boundary conditions were set up. The interactive local buckling modes of the trapezium corrugated sections with different width-to-thickness ratios, the overall buckling modes and the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure subjected to half-span and full-span vertical uniform loads were calculated by the finite element models. And the calculation results were analyzed and compared with those of full-sized structure models tests. It is shown that the ultimate bearing capacity of the trapezium corrugated plate assemblies arch steel roof depends not only on overall buckling but also on local buckling; primarily depends on overall buckling under full-span vertical uniform loads but primarily depends on distortional buckling under half-span vertical uniform loads. It is also showed that the buckling modes of the structure have significant impact on the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure.
