Abstract :
This paper presents results of QoS performance and QoS performance evaluation of the computer network using VoIP under a voice and data coexisted environment. We simulate two cases, first without QoS and second with QoS; for each case we get a result on the delay and CPU usage. We use several parameters including system operation rate, network protocol, network structure, CPU processing rate, inter-system delay, and the number of buffer failures. The network consists of fast Ethernet. As a result, the CPU processing rates are below 15%. The average inter-system delay is 0.7 ms. In the fast Ethernet network, the average is satisfactory,
