Abstract
The development of the two-stage magnetron allows extending the range of traditional possibilities of classical design magnetrons. By analogy with some microwave tubes (for example, TWT O type) which can combine the pulsed and continuous operation modes (multifunctional mode) the two stage magnetron is a tube in which takes place combination of two magnetrons: usual (classical) and inverted magnetrons. As a result we have a new multifunctional tube with improved gain-frequency characteristics. This paper deals with full 3D computer modeling of the electron-wave interaction in the two-stage magnetron. All investigations are carried out by using a new 3D code SICM 3D 3.01. The main geometrical and electrical parameters of the two-stage magnetron are given.
