  • Abstract
In this paper, I will present a software tool for calculations in IP addresses domain and maintaining their pools. This software is based on a user friendly GUI and can interact with real network equipment to change its configuration. The software can create, or modify, addressing schemes according to initial conditions (including the Variable Length Subnet Masking - VLSM mechanisms), prepare partial configurations for network devices and send these configurations to them. The tool presented here can change IP addresses for interfaces and maintain DHCP pools. This tool can also monitor usage of certain pools, leased addresses and clients´ presence in different subnetworks. This tool is also a very useful educational tool, especially for people who want to change their IP knowledge from the beginners level to advanced one.
