Abstract
In this paper, by analyzing the "new Chinese" phenomenon recently and the related model, the author sets the residential development nearby the wooden pagoda site as research subjects. In the modern life style and aesthetic context, the author explores the collision arising from people\´s traditional living habits and modern building materials and practices. Through the analysis of the Project Lan Ting Fang, the author comes to the conclusion that the "new Chinese" style means not only material form, but also man\´s activities "Life," the connotation of "integration" "in the past".
