Abstract
The results of unidirectional and interactive operating field experiments of hybrid fibre radio transmission systems at 60 GHz are presented. High capacity data signals up to 140 Mbit/s are transported over a terrestrial installed link of 46.2 km standard singlemode fibre and are optically distributed to miniaturised remote antenna units which are serving pico-radio-cells. Furthermore, the impact of polarisation mode dispersion on system performance has been experimentally investigated.
