Abstract :
In this paper, the experiment of trajectory control of vehicle during a tyre blowout is carried out. Firstly, the evaluation criteria of motion vehicles during a tyre blowout are determined. Then, motion vehicle with a static PID controller in highway is discussed. Simulation results show that the static PID controller determined at a certain speed is not fit for the other speed as well. Instead, a gain scheduling PID controller is adopted to handle the trajectory control problem of vehicles during a tyre blowout, where parameters of the gain-scheduling PID controller are calibrated with the varying speed. It shows that the vehicle can avoid yawing as well as keep the driving stability during the tyre blowout, and drive back to the original path after a small offset.
