Abstract
A method for simulating missile guidance process with the unmanned airship piloted by a homing seeker is proposed and verified for the proportional guidance law by flight test. According to the airship control characteristics, we have designed the corresponding airship control law based on its ready PID controllers and successfully realized proportional guidance flight with the airship piloted by the line-of-sight angular rate signal produced by a TV seeker loaded on the airship. As an easy and economical technique for simulating missile guidance process, the method proposed here could have wide prospect of application in electronic warfare test and evaluation.
