Abstract :
Considering the fact that high-rise residential buildings are mushrooming in recent years in the coastal cities of Liaoning, a questionnaire survey of such basic information as building type, envelope information, the inhabitants´ lifestyle and thermal satisfaction and a site investigation into the thermal environment of typical high-rise apartments for a consecutive week in the winter of 2009-2010 have been carried out. The article analyzes the survey and investigation results, and further discusses the relationship between residential layout design and thermal environment.
