Urban public space is the platform of people´s life. The public space of high quality will not only make people carry out more activities on the scoop, but also glorify the urban image building. From two aspects of theory and examples, the research of the public space´s quality in the city of Wuhan is analyzed in the paper. Then, the directions of judgment to solve the problems are brought forward. The author appeals that by the way of public participation from bottom to top, a system of directions which instruct from top to bottom and have actual meaning to urban design should be founded.
