Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

The following characteristics are found in the study of flora of seed plants in the urban region of Xianning City (Hubei, China): 1) It is abundant in wild species, containing 923 species of seed plants, belonging to 482 genera and 142 families; 2) Dominance phenomenon is obvious in genus and family; 3) The types of distribution are various and geographical elements are complex; Tropical elements are plentiful and dominance of temperate elements is obvious, which have showed some transitional nature; 4) The flora found is archaic and pristine; 5) Single-species and few-species genera are rich; 6) Endemism is poor.
