Broaden the knowledge of college students for general education purpose in the context of climate change and renewable energy development

The introduction of general education in university education for college students is a necessary requirement for the development of modern society. Climate change, energy crisis and renewable energy are closely related to the survival of each person on the earth. The fundamental measure to address climate change and energy crisis are develop renewable energy and reduce the dependence on traditional energy resources. Government incentives, rising energy costs, and the growing concern over climate change have fueled rapid growth in the renewable energy. In this paper, the necessity and importance of broaden the knowledge of college students for general education purpose in the context of climate change and renewable energy development are presented, some renewable energy technologies are also introduced.
